We want to be mobile, more than ever. And preferably economically, comfortably and sustainably. So it is high time for new concepts. Electric vehicles are hard to beat in terms of effectiveness. They challenge habits. They develop a whole new freedom. And they create new interfaces between mobility, living and energy generation. Because they not only take us from A to B sustainably, they are also energy storage devices of the future.
Why not use the electric car as a power storage device while it is parked in the driveway? The electric car is certainly an important link in the mobility chain. But new behavioral patterns accompany it: the car is losing prestige, you no longer have to own it, you use it when you need it, you share it. Car sharing is the trend. "Use instead of own" is the motto.
And another trend is clearly visible: flexible switching between different means of transport is becoming more important. Public transport is becoming more important, and slowing down is being encouraged. The range of solutions is growing - this is precisely what the KlimaZukunft aims to raise awareness of.
How can we travel in a climate-conscious way?
The 24/7 society needs mobility, and preferably it needs to be economical, comfortable and sustainable. There are around 1.3 billion vehicles travelling around the globe, and the number is rising. Are electric cars the solution? Or do we need further developments in the mobility mix in the coming years? One thing is certain: the energy concept of the future is unthinkable without electromobility. It changes our behaviour and renews our autonomy.

To make your mobility more climate-friendly and sustainable, you should avoid the following:
Excessive use of air travel
Air travel is very emission-intensive and therefore more environmentally friendly alternatives such as trains or buses should be considered.
Short and unnecessary car journeys
Short journeys contribute to pollution and many of these journeys could also be made on foot, by public transport or by bike.
SUVs and large vehicles
When buying, avoid large cars, which also have high fuel consumption and therefore also produce more emissions.

Climate-conscious mobility refers to environmentally friendly and sustainable travel. The following should be considered:
Use public transport
Public transport is more energy efficient than individual vehicles. Use buses, trams, trains and subways.
Cycle
Cycling is not only environmentally friendly, but also healthy and a good way to reduce traffic.
Car sharing and ride sharing
Use car sharing services and help reduce the number of vehicles. Ride sharing is also a great way to reduce traffic.
Use electric vehicles
If you need a new car, consider electric cars as they produce fewer emissions than conventional cars. Scooters and motorized two-wheelers are also a good alternative to conventional cars.
